This class is a 40hr course that will teach you how to identify specific hazards of an emergency situation, the skills to mitigate the hazards, and the confidence to provide the safest and most effective care to the injured or ill patient. Here is your chance to be part of the elite group of confined space rescuers.

Some of the topics covered in this course are: OSHA/CalOSHA confined space standards, atmospheric monitoring, permitting, ventilation techniques, knots and rope systems, patient assessment and packaging, and rescue techniques. All students will receive a confined space rescue manual.

Students will run through real life scenarios in actual confined spaces for the most realistic training environment. Upon completion of this course, students will receive a Certificate of Completion and be certified to perform confined space rescue in real world situations. This intense hands on course will help to prepare rescuers for anything they encounter in the field.

Course prerequisites are as follows: confined space entry course, and CPR/first aid. All certifications must be current. If you do not have these, they can be provided before the class at additional cost. Please contact us at info@actionresponse.com for questions or to reserve your spot.

Urban Search & Rescue K9

Action Response Team has a fully trained Urban Search and Rescue K9 dog that can be incorporated into training classes. Trained to find victims that are alive and trapped in rubble, collapsed homes, landslides and more, she is a valuable training tool for Action Response Team. Using a search K9 during rescue training scenarios is beneficial so trainees can learn how to work alongside a dog to help find trapped victims more efficiently. She can climb ladders, navigate a rubble pile on her own, and can rappel along with her handler into dangerous areas. She is an intricate part of a local Search & Rescue team that responds to man-made and natural disasters, both local and international. She can be incorporated into any of your rescue training class needs.
